How does Parrot work?

You can create an account in under one minute, link your existing brokerage account, subscribe to portfolios of hedge funds and asset managers. Your investment account can mimic the trades directly and you can receive alerts on activity

Do I need to create a new brokerage account?

No, you don’t! Link your existing brokerage account and choose from several platforms like WeBull, Charles Schwab, Coinbase, eTrade, Robinhood, Fidelity, and more. If you do not have an existing brokerage account, you can easily create one on our app with our partnered brokerage

How does the auto-invest feature work?

We built auto-invest so it is like having an investment adviser, but instead for a fraction of the cost and completely automated!

Here’s how it works: you can enable Auto-Invest, select 5 portfolios to mimic, select the amount you wish to invest with a minimum of $250, and subscribe to premium to get automatic updates into your brokerage account when portfolios are updated.

What do I need to get started on Parrot?

All you need is an email, phone number and a brokerage account to get started. Onboarding is quicker than brushing your teeth!

Typically, investment advisers (RIAs) and hedge funds have minimum requirements in order to access their services - such as a $1M net worth, a minimum income of $200K, and an accredited investor status

With Parrot, anyone can access & mimic portfolios of professional funds managed by experts from asset managers and hedge funds - avoiding traditional limitations and leveling the playing field for all

Do I need to leave the Parrot app to mimic or place a trade?

Nope! Place all mimicked trades directly on the Parrot app. You can also enable auto-invest so your portfolio automatically triggers investments when your subscribed funds trade. Enjoy our fresh interface with the support of trusted brokers behind the scenes

What kind of portfolios are on Parrot?

We offer vetted and well-performing portfolios that range from hedge funds, asset managers, politicians and public CEOs. We gather our portfolio information two ways -

1) We pull in 13F filing data, which has a disclaimer that there is often a lag time from when the trade happened in reality to when we receive the report and share with our users

2) We have exclusive partnerships with funds that would otherwise only make their strategies available to their high net-worth, accredited clients, and this is real-time data

Where can I access this platform?

Currently, Parrot is available in the US and Canada, on iOS (iPhone) and a pending Android and Desktop release. We hope to expand to more countries in the near future

Is Parrot safe?

Parrot is a registered investment adviser (RIA pending) with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Parrot is not a broker dealer, and brokerage accounts are not held on our platform, rather linked via API connection with our partner brokers - who are the account holders. This is a safe and secure linkage, and your connected brokerage will typically have insurance. Parrot does not hold any deposits, nor execute trades internally, and does not store any sensitive information or authentication

Investing always comes with inherent risks, and we make it clear to all users to only invest what they can afford. On Parrot, we carefully screen all public portfolios before they display. Our intention is to present our users with the best-performing portfolios and act in their best interest for long-term financial success

Who are the founders that are building Parrot?

Nikki Varanasi, Victoria Yang and Lucy Yang are the cofounders of Parrot, and all have a cumulative experience of decades in the space – previously working at companies such as KKR, McKinsey, JP Morgan, Coinbase, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and The White House
